Breast Enlargement, Breast Augmentation
Breast enlargement, also known as breast augmentation is
a procedure where implants are used to increase the size
or improve the shape of breasts.
Implants
can contain silicone, saline; a mixture of saline and gel,
or oil,
Breast augmentation can be done to correct drooping breasts;
an additional uplift procedure may also be required.
Breast Augmentation Technique, Breast Enlargement surgery
1.
Most popular method: Insertion of an implant into a pocket
in the breast tissue, with an incision approx. less than
two imches long along the crease under the breast. The
incision is then closed with hidden dissolving sutures
and either covered with a light dressing or supported with
two layers of adhesive tape.
Following a breast enlargement procedure the breasts will
be tender and swollen for a few days. The skin above the
incision may feel numb for some months following the op.
This rarely extends to the nipple. Some patients describe
increased sensation that can last for two to three months.
Scars are a consideration following a breast enlargement
procedure, typically 5 centimetes long in the crease under
each breast; they are noticeable initially following breast
surgery but can assume normal skin colour in time, dependent
on the healing process of the individual.
Some
people often take the opportunity to have a breast uplift
at the same time.
